Matt Polson brings more than 25 years of hands-on experience in the millwork industry to his role as Outside Sales Representative at U.S. Architectural Millwork. For over two decades, he owned and operated a successful trim carpentry business specializing in custom interior trim, moulding installation, and high-end millwork solutions.
During his time in the field, Matt regularly installed USAM products. He quickly became a strong advocate for the company, encouraging his builders to make the switch based on his firsthand experience with their exceptional materials and customer service. That long-standing relationship made USAM a natural next step when he decided to hang up his tool belt and bring his field expertise into a sales role. As Matt puts it, he “went from nailing it to selling it.”
Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Matt has deep roots in the local building community. He continues to support custom home builders and remodelers throughout the region, helping them bring their visions to life with tailored millwork solutions and practical design advice. He enjoys assisting with design details that enhance the finished look and value of a home, while staying mindful of the builder’s or homeowner’s budget.
Matt approaches every project, large or small, with the same level of care and attention. Whether it's a fully custom home or a single accent wall, he believes every job deserves respect, precision, and thoughtful execution. He thrives on turning sketches, ideas, and conversations into tangible results, finding satisfaction in the unique challenges and rewards that come with each build.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys camping adventures with his family and trying to shave strokes off his golf game. Both give him a chance to unplug, recharge, and enjoy the kind of quiet focus that also makes him a steady, reliable partner to his builders.
